FTCh Eastdale Kayne (Deceased)
Kayne arrived to SOK just after New Years 2018. Within four days we had him in the field picking up geese. When he isn’t in the field, he is lounging around our home, playing dress-up with our kids, and making friends with everyone who comes over. Around the house and the kennel, Kayne seems like a big, lazy teddy bear. In the field it is quite the opposite. He is rock-steady, which is to be expected from a dog with so much experience in English trials as well as picking up at prestigious shoots in the United Kingdom. When sent for a bird, he leaves with explosive speed. He maintains pace all the way back with the bird, and he sounds like a derby horse coming across the field. It is unbelievable to watch a dog with so much size and style. Kayne has produced multiple field trial winners and a few field trial champions in the UK, and we look forward to seeing what he produces here at SOK. We are ever so grateful to Allan Schofield of Eastdale Labradors for breeding, training, and handling Kayne. His accomplishments include:
- First Place Cambridgeshire Field Trial Society Novice Stake
- Third Place Scottish Field Trials Association Open Stake
- Fourth Place Chiltern Gundog Society Open Stake
- Second Place Usk Valley Retreiver Club Open Stake
- First Place Leicestershire Gundog Society Club Open Stake
- First Place Northumberland and Durham Labrador Retriever Club Open Stake
